Pork with Spiced Apple Sauce

Preparation time: 10 minutes Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 200g Angas Park Dried Apples, chopped
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cups water
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • pinch chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 x pork butterfly steaks

Method

  1. Place apples, onion, water, vinegar and spices in a medium saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Cover and leave for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan. When hot add pork and fry for 2-3 minutes each side or until cooked. Cover with foil and leave to rest.
  3. Place apple sauce in a food processor and process until chunky. Serve with pork.
